Parents, Nourish Love's Roots.
Parenting has never been easy, but sometimes it feels like its getting more and more difficult! We all want the best for our kids and to do better by them than was done to us. How do we raise children that know they're loved who can navigate all life has to throw at them in these ever-changing times?
At each stage of development, our children need something different from us. In this workshop, you'll learn not only what that is, but how you can be prepared to give them what they need and get ready for what's coming down the road.
In this 7 week workshop, the developmental stages as laid out by Erik Erikson will be our framework. According to Erikson, each stage of development has a crisis that has to be successfully resolved (see below). If you don't successfully resolve that crisis, issues arise. Help your children succeed in life and love by helping them answer each stage's Big Question.
The stages of development are:
1. Infancy: Birth to 18 Months
Trust vs. Mistrust
Basic strength: Drive and Hope
2. Early Childhood: 18 Months to 3 Years
Autonomy vs. Shame
Basic Strengths: Self-control, Courage, and Will
3. Play Age: 3 to 5 Years
Initiative vs. Guilt
Basic Strength: Purpose
4. School Age: 6 to 12 Years

5. Adolescence: 12 to 18 Years
